How I Can Help

Couples Counselling in Godalming, Surrey – Supporting Relationships, Neurodivergence, and Parenting

I support couples in Godalming and online to improve communication, rebuild connection, and navigate challenges related to parenting and neurodivergence. Many people seek counselling when they feel stuck and unsure how to move forward. Relationship difficulties often have multiple causes—communication struggles, parenting stress, anxiety, past trauma, or challenges with boundaries—making them feel more complicated than they first appear.

I help with issues such as:

  • Communication and conflict resolution
  • Parenting stress and supporting neurodivergent children
  • Anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem
  • Healing from childhood or relational trauma
  • Postpartum and perinatal mental health

My approach includes:

  • Couples counselling and relationship therapy
  • Parenting support, including neurodivergent children
  • Counselling for relational trauma and personal growth
  • Support for Autism, ADHD, and PDA in relationships

Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or seeking personal growth, I can help you rebuild trust, understanding, and connection in your relationship.

Take the first step and contact me today to arrange a short call or book your first session.

The quickest and easiest way to get in touch is by filling out the contact form here. This comes straight to my email, which I check regularly throughout the day.

Due to the nature of my work, I may not be able to reply immediately, your enquiry is important to me and I will reply as soon as I can.

If you’re ready to start, and would like to know more about what happens in the first session, I’ve written two blog posts that might help: one for individual counselling and one for couples therapy.

Where is Your Counselling Practice in Godalming, Surrey?

My therapy room is based at Surrey Holistic, in central Godalming. You’ll find it just off the High Street, down a short cobbled path. It’s tucked away from the bustle, offering a quiet and private space for counselling.

If you’re driving, you can park for free in Sainsbury’s (for up to 2 hours) or Waitrose (for up to 90 minutes). It’s also just a short walk from local car parks, including Crown Court Car Park, Queen Street Car Park, and Waverley Council Office Car Park.

I have use of two therapy rooms at Surrey Holistic, both are on the first floor and accessed by stairs. When you arrive, there’s a small waiting area, and usually someone at the front desk who are happy to help if you need anything before your session.

How Do I Pay for Counselling Sessions?

Once we’ve agreed on a time for your counselling session, I'll send you our counselling agreement a short in-take form and payment details. Payment is made by bank transfer at the time of booking to reserve your session.

How Does Online Relationship and Parenting Counselling Work?

Once your appointment is booked, you’ll receive an email with all the details, including a secure Zoom link to join your session.

On the day, simply click the link a few minutes before your appointment to join our virtual waiting room.

Individual sessions last 50 minutes and couples sessions are either 60 or 90 minutes. They usually take place on a weekly basis at the same tiem each week, just like in-person counselling.

Online counselling offers a convenient and comfortable way to receive support from home or anywhere you feel safe.

Are Counselling Sessions Confidential and Private?

Yes. Confidentiality is a core part of counselling. Everything you share during our sessions is held in strict confidence, within the limits of the law and ethical guidelines.

I adhere to professional standards set by counselling bodies to keep your information safe and secure. This includes secure storage of records and private, confidential sessions whether in person or online.

The only times confidentiality may be broken are in situations where there is a risk of harm to you or others, or when legally required. I will always make every effort discuss this with you first if it arises.

If you have any questions or concerns about confidentiality, please feel free to ask.

Do You Offer Evening and Weekend Counselling Appointments?

Yes, I offer limited evening availability on Wednesdays, as well as weekend sessions on Sunday mornings.

If you need a time outside of typical working hours, please get in touch to see what’s available.

How Many Counselling Sessions Will I Need?

The number of counselling sessions you’ll need depends entirely on you and your unique situation. Everyone’s journey is different, so it’s hard to say an exact number upfront.

Throughout our work together, we’ll regularly reflect on your progress and how things are going, adjusting the pace as needed to support your goals.

Ultimately, you’re in charge of your counselling journey, you can stay for as long or as little as feels right for you.

Do You Offer Couples Counselling in Godalming or Online?

Yes, I work with adults (18+) either individually or as couples. If you’d like to begin couples counselling, it’s important that all communication includes everyone involved.

Sometimes you might be thinking about couples therapy but haven’t yet talked to your partner about it. That’s completely okay. You’re welcome to email me first to get any information or support you need to start that conversation.

If you both decide to move forward, you can then contact me together to take the next steps toward building a stronger relationship through therapy.
